About Bolzano

Where is Bolzano?

Bolzano, called the door of the Dolomites, is located in South Tyrol – Italy, and is an autonomous province. It is situated at 265 meters above sea level between the Sarentina, Isarco and Adige valleys. Bolzano’s climate is continental with little rainfall.

In 2018, according to the Legambiente report, it ranked second in the ranking of the best cities in Italy both for the quality of the environment and for the quality of life.

Bolzano has a long history, the first settlements date back to prehistoric times. Even in the Roman period there are elements that date back the first conquests of General Drusus around 15 BC
A major development occurs during the Middle Ages, in the early Middle Ages with real organized settlements.
It borders the municipalities of Appiano on the Wine Route, Cornedo all’Isarco, Laives, Nova Ponente, Renon, San Genesio Atesino, Terlano, Vadena.
